The way we interact with manufacturing when we are introducing a new products is to try to involve them, a
s early as, possible in the new product process.
We have tried to standardize what we want our designers to do so that it fits into the product, and into th
e manufacturing process. At the same time, we don't want to completely restrict a designer's creativity an
d what he has to do to meet the customer's requirements in the cost effective way.
