As a technical consultant, I led six USAID funded projects aimed to re-modernize various Jamaican government agencies. I gathered business and functional requirements from agency executives and senior staff; created project plans; managed vendor selection processes; negotiated best and final offers; managed software implementations and testing; managed training and deployment; and performed project closures. The projects included the implementation of a payment gateway for electronic transactions, web-based customer document tracking systems, document management systems, workflow management systems, inter-agency collaboration systems, and hardware/data migrations.

NBC Internet
Manager/Senior Project Manager
San Francisco, CA
As a senior project manager, I managed over 25 technical projects dealing with content management systems, e-commerce systems, online-gaming systems, and Internet user services. A major project involved a $10 million system integration of an e-commerce system. The project required managing 20 software engineers working in a remote office. The team successfully delivered a product-price Internet search and transaction engine that enabled NBCI to launch a $50 million dollar marketing campaign to promote shopping.
As a manager, I managed 10 software engineers and a $2 million budget to implement broadband technical projects at NBC Internet. A major effort involved leading the migration of the broadband content management system to a new platform. The project was successfully completed with the following important results: allowed the broadband staff to share content pages throughout NBCI; enabled NBCI to distribute content pages to partners such as SBC and Prodigy; and increased the traffic to the broadband site by 80%.
Other tasks included interacting with product development, graphic design, information architecture, usability testing, and software development teams to develop Internet products from concept to production; generating effort, resource and cost estimates; writing functional and technical requirements; developing project plans; communicating with NBC Internet clients and vendors; and participating in contract negotiations. In addition, I led external projects with NBC, NBC affiliates, partners and other third parties; provided project management and technical direction for initiatives; gathered business requirements; allocated resources and assignments; tracked deliverables; reported to executive teams; and ensured quality of products.

As a project manager, I led the migration of a client-server time entry tool to a web-based platform. The new system was delivered on schedule and processed $2 million per year. In another major project, I managed the development of a work assignment tool with resource allocation and task completion monitoring functionality. The tool resulted in the increased efficiency of the development and management teams.
As a software engineer, I designed and developed computer product object oriented models in configuration modeling language (CML). These models were incorporated into a worldwide configuration tool used to configure and quote HP computer products, software, peripherals and services.
