Position Description: Graduate Student Research Associate at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory
Project/Job Description: LBNL is hiring student to work on project that reviews and analyzes market trends in developing residential and commercial customer energy (and non-energy) services. Project focuses on analyzing activities of electric and gas utilities, their strategic partners, and potential competitors to develop value-added retail services as the electric utility industry restructures. Student will review trade press and academic literature, analyze emerging trends in information and communication technologies, and interview utility staff and product vendors developing pilot projects.Qualifications/Expertise: Graduate training or degree in engineering, business administration, or economics desired. Expertise or interest in information/communications technologies, electric utility industry, customer energy services, and industry restructuring.
