I am a Ph.D student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. I'm a member of the Berkeley Expert Systems Technology (BEST) Lab, and the Berkeley Institute of Design. My academic interests include design methodology, product design, and human computer interaction. I am especially interested in design sketchbooks, and how people use informal design information in collaboration.

I'm also the former editor-in-chief of Ambidextrous Magazine, an independent non-profit design magazine.
