EXPERIENCE:

10/95 - Present: Tenera, Inc. Strategic Plant Consulting

Associate Intern: Revise and restructure risk assessment software for energy clients.

1/95 - 12/95: University of California at Berkeley, PATH Project

Graduate Research Assistant: The goal of the Partners for Advanced Transit and Highways Project is to increase the capacity of the most frequented highways and to decrease traffic congestion, air polution, accident rates and fuel consumption.
* Characterized sonar and radar distance sensing devices under sub-optimal operating conditions. This included actual testing and establishment of system failure modes through the introduction of conditions which may be found in system application.
* Integrating analysis and fusion of sensor data to improve the performance of automatic vehicle control.

10/93 - 6/94: University of Washington, Formula SAE Project

Society of Automotive Engineers sponsored FSAE is an intercollegiate competition sponsored by the Society of Automotive Engineers. The goal is to design and build a formula racing car for an amateur racer with a production price below $8000. Formula SAE involves complete product development from initial concepts to an intercollegiate design and performance competition. The project develops team structure and organization with an emphasis on goal achievement, communication, and time management on both a technical and administrative level.
* Vehicle Testing and Driver Training Coordinator. Structured and supervised a comprehensive testing program which involved the development of the team for the performance related aspects of the competition.
* Suspension group leader. Synthesized group design efforts and acted as a liaison with other vehicle component groups to ensure product compatibility and open communication.

6/93 - 10/93: University of Washington, Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate Research Program.

Undergraduate Research Assistant: The project involved the machine design of components and a four-bar linkage system for pressure and temperature control during the gas saturation stage of the microcellular foam creation process.
* Assisted with material selection, layout and construction of pressure and temperature control units built for research in the Cellular Composites Consortium Laboratory.
* Familiarization with graduate level research and its relationship with industry.

Summer 1992: University of California at Berkeley, Summer Undergraduate Program for Engineering Research.

Undergraduate Research Assistant: The project involved performance evaluation of protective gear for competitive Taekwondo.
