After many happy years as a graduate student, I finally received my Ph.D. from the Department of Engineering-Economic Systems in the School of Engineering at Stanford University June 1996. My thesis advisor was Prof. Sam Chiu and we worked on Positive and Negative Externality Effects on Product Pricing and Capacity Planning. I am currently segueing from student life to the "real world" as a Visiting Postdoctoral Researcher in the BEST Lab in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California at Berkeley , where I'm working on the PATH project. Still want to know more about me? Additional info is available in my resume.

My niece, Rachel, has her own home page. New to her page: hot off the press pictures of her brand-spankin' new brother, Wayland (Wakie, for short). Check it out!

Other family members with home pages include: Earl Levine (my husband), Dale Chao (my brother), David Chao (my other brother), and David Levine (Earl's brother).

But, wait, there's more! Earl and I are pleased to announce the arrival of our son, Gabrael "Rael" Tsai-Wen Chao Levine.

We are currently in the midst of a home construction project. Click here for pictures.

Here are some pictures of our summer 1999 trip to Brazil.

Earl and I participated in the 1997 Bay to Breakers race in San Francisco. We ran as part of the official Stanford Information Systems Lab centipede. Don't miss action photos of Earl the runner and Earl the triumphant
(wait, he still has 3.5 more miles to go!).
